“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 NIV

Jesus calls to us to lay down the weight and burden of life and instead take up a way that is light and easy to our souls. However this is not to be confused with a new method, set of rules, or do-it-yourself program.

  • This is an invitation to a new creation.
  • This is an invite to a new operating system.
  • A complete re-boot of perspective that produces transformation as you yield to it.
  • This is not trying harder
  • Not “getting your ducks in a row”

This is admitting your ability to “get your life together” or organize your ducks, so to speak, will not help or hinder you in what is a completely different way of life.

The whole system needs to go.

It is time to get over self effort. Yet, in losing your life (your opinions, your ownership), you find your True Life.

“Then he said to the crowd, ‘If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” Luke 9:23-24 (NLT)

What is the life you were meant to live?

  • One where you know that you are loved.
  • You know that you are never alone.
  • Your confidence flows from a source that can never run dry.
  • It is a place of peace and beauty.

Transformation springs from a well inside. Furthermore, this is a place of freedom purpose and significance where you feel you have won the race before you start.

It is a place where your own thoughts or the thoughts of others do not have the final say because you are not ever sitting condemned but instead your life is now and forever “approved” because you no longer live by your own strength. Nothing has been earned.

You live by what has been given and can not be taken away. Your life is defined by victory and no matter the obstacles, they are always temporary and do not define you. You are completely accepted and loved to the core of your being. The only requirement is to die to the old “impostor you” which is connected to this world. To find the true you only discovered in union with Jesus.

“And as Christ himself is seen for who he really is, who you really are will also be revealed, for you are now one with him in his glory!”Colossians 3:4 (TPT)
